Sydney Sorbet

Mezzo-soprano Sydney Sorbet completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and is currently in the second year of her Master’s degree at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Her recent performances include Le Prince Charmant in Cendrillon (CCM Opera), the Woodpecker in The Cunning Little Vixen (Des Moines Metro Opera), Ruth in Dark Sisters (CCM Opera), and Mother/Giant’s Wife in Jack and the Beanstalk (Opera Louisiane).

She has won an Encouragement Award from the Gulf Coast Region and was named winner of the New Orleans District in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition.
