Join us as we raise the curtain on Season 29 in our annual Curtains Up dinner! This year we return again to the picturesque Cedar Ridge Distillery to enjoy their famous wood-fired pizzas and made in Iowa wines.
Fans of opera will enjoy performances throughout the evening that bring many works by Sondheim as we look forward to the Season 29 Mainstage, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. But expect many more songs beautifully performed by this season's Smith Young Artist Program singers for Papagayo our traveling children's opera.
In addition to the great food and drinks, atmosphere, and music; you should expect to have fun at the silent auction which has some great new additions this year including several weekend getaways to enjoy opera shows at some of the best operas in the Midwest! Also look forward to an exclusive video presentation, opportunity to meet and talk to the creative direction behind the opera, and socialize with other fans of opera who are elevating the art in Cedar Rapids.
