Max Alexander Cook

Tenor Max Alexander Cook is from Ashland, Virginia, and currently lives in Washington, DC.


In 2025, Cook won the North Carolina District of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. He has performed with Virginia Opera, Annapolis Opera, and Charlottesville Opera, where he was an Ader Emerging Artist.


Cook sang Ferrando in Winter Harbor Music Festival’s Così fan tutte and Ottavio in Aquilon Music Festival’s Don Giovanni.


In May, Cook will graduate from the University of Maryland’s Maryland Opera Studio, where he sang Belfiore in La finta giardiniera and will sing Fabian and David in Jake Heggie’s If I Were You.
