Lifan Deng

Baritone Lifan Deng, originally from Shenzhen, China and based in Chicago, holds a Master of Music from Northwestern University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Music, Mechanical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

He has performed Schaunard in La Bohème and Masetto in Don Giovanni with Madison Opera, and Marco in Gianni Schicchi with Opera Company of Middlebury.

In the 2025–26 season, he will tour as Sgt. Bill Corey in The Elixir of Love with Opera for the Young, and will appear in the world premiere of The Everlasting Faint.
