Virginia Reed

Virginia Reed (she/they) recently completed a yearlong residency with Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

She debuted as Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Central City Opera and has performed as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, the title role in La Cenerentola, Sesto in La clemenza di Tito, Olga in Eugene Onegin, and Der Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos.

Reed has been a Young Artist with Wolf Trap Opera, Central City Opera, and the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center.

They have also performed in concert and oratorio at Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Reed will return to Cedar Rapids Opera in Die Fledermaus in January. They hold degrees from Manhattan School of Music (BM) and San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM).
