AJ Wester
Described as “highly imaginative,” A. J. Wester is an active stage director, voice teacher, and teaching artist in the Chicago area.
She has directed productions including Carmen, Le nozze di Figaro, The Consul, and Giulio Cesare with Chicago Summer Opera. With St. Petersburg Opera, she has led Tosca, A Little Night Music, La Traviata, and Into the Woods.
Wester has also directed at the Bay View Music Festival (The Magic Flute), Intimate Opera (La Traviata and Così fan tutte), Opera Company Brooklyn (Roméo et Juliette), and The Savoyaires (The Zoo, Eyes and No Eyes, Trial by Jury, and Patience).
She has also worked as an Assistant Director for Chicago Opera Theater, Utah Opera, Indianapolis Opera, and San Diego Opera.
