JOIN CEDAR RAPIDS OPERA!
Are you a passionate singer eager to showcase your talent? Cedar Rapids Opera invites local artists and young professionals to audition for our upcoming performances and programs. Whether you’re looking to join our chorus or shine in a cabaret, we want to hear from you!
Comprehensive auditions for local talent opportunities in the Cedar Rapids Opera 2024-2025 season. Auditionees may be considered for as many or as few opportunities as they wish, as indicated on their audition form. Available opportunities include cabaret solo acts, Cinderella community chorus members, comprimario roles, and CROpera promotional appearances.
Interested applicants should fill out the form below and sign-up for one ten-minute audition slot via the link at the bottom of the application. Those auditioning will be asked to sing up to two solo pieces in contrasting styles (different languages, tempos, genres, etc.). All auditions must be memorized. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Headshot and resume not required.
