When four sopranos arrive at the Pearly Gates, they are eager to join the Heavenly Choir! However, when St. Peter announces the need for only one additional soprano in the choir, antics of biblical proportions ensue. Penhorwood’s playful opera twists stereotypes of sopranos, stock opera plots, and traditional staging tropes into a frivolous frolic.
