This fourth commission in CROpera’s 23 year history, Operatini by composer Nancy Hill Cobb and librettist Melinda Boyd features mezzo soprano Suzanne Hendrix-Case, who made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2019 as Sotopenre in Philip Glass’s Akhnaten. This three-song cycle tells the all too current tale of Zoom meeting anxieties, and will be interspersed with area restaurant mix-masters demonstrating their own takes on an “operatini.” This production is sponsored by Banker’s Trust, and John and Ann Persick.
