Evan J. Nelson

A native of Albany, Georgia, Baritone Evan J. Nelson recently appeared as a Studio Artist with the Aspen Music Festival and School where he sang the role of Simon Thibault in Jimmy Lopez’s Bel Canto. Mr. Nelson’s other operatic credits include Mr. Johannes “Pa” Zegner in Mazzoli’s Proving Up, Guglielmo in Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte, and Mr. Gedge in Britten’s Albert Herring. This Spring, he is excited to be singing the title role in Gianni Schicchi with UMKC Opera. Mr. Nelson is currently pursuing a DMA in Voice Performance at the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory.
