Ethan Elsbernd

Baritone

Sacristan, Chorus (Tosca)

Ethan Elsbernd is a young Baritone who resides in Iowa City, Iowa full time. Ethan is now in his third year of studies with professor Stephen Swanson, at the University of Iowa School of Music. As a Smith Young Artist with the Cedar Rapids Opera Company, Ethan has sung in Pirates of Penzance (Chorus), Cosi fan Tutte (Chorus) and Gianni Schicchi (Amantio di Nicolao). With the University of Iowa Opera Theatre, Ethan has prepared roles for H.M.S. Pinafore (Chorus), Il Matrimonio Segreto (U.S. Conte Robinson), La Traviata (Baron Duphol), and his first principal role in their production of Pietro Mascagni's L'amico Fritz (David). Ethan is incredibly grateful for the performance opportunities Cedar Rapids Opera has provided him and countless other Young Artists working to further their careers on stage. Thank you, CRO!
