Zara Zemmels

Mezzo-soprano Zara Zemmels has worked equally in Cabaret and in Opera since 2020, producing monthly performances of Lieder & Lingerie at the Allways Lounge Cabaret in New Orleans, while maintaining a presence in the young artist opera community. She spent this summer at Florentine Opera in Milwaukee, where she performed concerts of opera mash-ups called Covers on a variety of stages in the Milwaukee metro area. Last spring she was featured in the role of Alisa in New Orleans Opera’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor.
